A very nice family owned combination so store, and restaurant. Store is very clean, with a small buffet. The food is well seasoned, and tastes like food that you might eat in a typical Brazilian home, it was very enjoyable, and we will be back. The store sells quite a lot of tasty snacks, and unique candy (I picked up a few different pieces, and I'm hooked on one made from bananas) and the grocery part of the place has many different foods, including a nice freezer selection of Brazilian foods We were told that they have live music on Saturdays. Parece um bom momento.

Authentic Cuisine 74. Brazilian cuisine buffet. Solid 5 stars restaurant and grocery store. The five stars actually is for the restaurant. This Brazilian restaurant is a buffet with regular Brazilian food. Most of the Brazilian buffet is grilled meat, but this restaurant is a home cook meal. The food is special and nice. Come early to get a seat. The restaurant is not just food, they have live guitar song on Saturday. Love to have the South American song with food. Not a high class dining but a enjoyable food experience. The food includes many items I have not seen before. The day we have visited has the prime rib, spare rib, heart of palm salad, plantain, rice and bean and more. The stir fry veggies is delicious.

We were there for Saturday lunch buffet. Plenty of selections at the buffet station. The meat were beef and ribs, also there were salad, potato, palm heart, pineapple, cheese, bean and rice, green beans, carrot salad, lasagna. The beef and ribs were delicious, as well as the vegetables. Some tables were there for dine-in. A lot of customers bought take -out. The whole place was clean and pleasant. An excellent musician was playing Brazilian music, bossa nova and such. He was very good. It made me feel like I was dining in a high-end restaurant. This is a grocery store carrying different snack, drink, household items, meat, cheese, dessert, ice cream etc. We bought some chips and cookies. They were tasty. The owner was friendly, the staff were helpful. I did enjoy my experience, almost like a mini vacation to Brazil but in Pinellas Park.

This place is just great! Authentic and delicious Brazilian food. It's not fancy, but it's clean! The meat is just delicious and perfect!!They serve food by the weight/ buffet style. I can't eat more then a plate so by the weight is perfect! They have a hot and cold station. The TV is playing a Brazilian channel and.. they have a store with all the goodies you'd want to bring back from Brazil. And it's very fairly priced! This is legit authentic. Everyone speaks Portugese, it's like taking a little lunch vacation! True gem! If you haven't already, you have to stop in. You'll wonder why you haven't come sooner! Also, if you don't know what to get from the store: I always buy some Brazilian chocolate, coffee, açaí with guarana, guarana soda, pao de quieso (you have to bake it at home)

Was in the area meeting up with a friend for lunch and our originally planned spot was closed for the day and found this close by. What a pleasant surprise Sugar Loaf turned out to be! This Brazilian establishment doubles as a restaurant and a grocery store. Lunch was set up buffet bar style but you load up a plate and they charge by weight like a deli. There was a salad bar with many of your standard salad items. The hot bar had white rice, steak, chicken, and a fish & potato dish... to name a few. So I grabbed several things -- steak, chicken, farofa (toasted flour mixture with black beans and sausage), and a chicken salad-like mixture. The steak was tender and full of flavor. The chicken tasted like it had been slow-cooked in the oven for the entire morning -- super tasty and tender. It was my first time eating farofa and it was great. The "chicken salad" is unlike anything I've ever experienced which I'd bet is unique to the Brazilian cuisine. Aside from the food bar, they have a hot box of fried goodies like Coxinha (Brazilian Chicken Croquettes and Empanadas). Overall, the people are super friendly and the food was great. I'll have stop here to try the Coxinha and Empanadas the next time I'm in the area. Side note -- We got there around 11:40 and the salad bar was fully stocked, but all the hot food wasn't out until Noon. So if you stop in for lunch, come around noon.
